Maria Orozco (Chavelita), age 77, of San Antonio, Texas, slept in the Lord peacefully on August 6, 2026.
A lifelong resident of San Antonio, Maria was a Bowie Elementary mom, Fox Tech Buffalo, and community volunteer. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and woman of deep faith.
Maria's life was rooted deeply in her faith. Her belief in God, devotion to the Apostle of the Lord, Naason Joaquin Garcia, and love for our church, La Luz del Mundo, were at the center of her life. Her faith shaped the way she lived, loved, and treated others, as well as the teachings she passed down to her family and everyone she met.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Malaquias Orozco; her parents, Encarnacion Sanchez and Beatrice Sanchez; and her siblings, Felix Castro, Yolanda Sanchez, Pedro Sanchez, George Sanchez, and Rita Castro.
She is survived by her children, Joey Orozco, Sarah Orozco, and Samuel Orozco; her seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Gloria Sanchez, Mario Sanchez, Oscar Sanchez, Beatrice Sanchez, Helen Sanchez, and Martha Castro.
First and foremost, the family is eternally grateful to every brother and sister in Christ who prayed for Maria, visited her, cared for her, encouraged her, loved her, and kept her in their hearts throughout her life, and especially during her final days.
There are no words sufficient to express how much your love meant to Maria and to our family. May God bless each and every one of you abundantly, just as you blessed Maria with your love.
Si! La esperamos!
Naason Joaquin Garcia Apostol de Jesucristo 27 de Octubre de 2024
She lived for God, loved without judgment, and gave without limitations.
