Maria de Jesus Ramos passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, at the age of 94. She was born on September 12, 1929, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Among other things Maria de Jesus loved to cook, bake, sew and sing. She was a member of Our Lady of Angels Chior and co-owner of Fiesta Azteca Bridal Shop.

She was proceeded in death by her Grandparents who raised her Pedro and Paula Barron, her mother Jacinta Barron, her father Juan Sanchez, father-in-law and mother-in-law Jose P. and Carmen Ramos, sister, Catalina Garza, and her loving husband of 57 years Jose B Ramos.

Maria de Jesus was loved by so many, and she will be missed especially by her sons Jose Eduardo (Gloria), Jesus Alberto, and Francisco Javier (Yvonne). Her only daughter Maria de Los Angeles.  Her grandson Jose Luis and her great grandkids Kaleb and Jossalyn.

The family would like to thank the staff at Westover Rehabilitation for the care they provided for her.

The family will receive guests on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a rosary service.

A funeral mass will be conducted at Our Lady of Angels on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 11:00 am. The burial will follow mass at with a graveside service in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
