Maria Estela Linares Morales passed away on Saturday September 9, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas, she was 70 years old. Maria was born on June 18, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas.

Maria was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. As a mother she was sweet and protective, placing the needs of her children above her own. As a grandmother she was loving and gentle, a constant presence of love and light in her grandchildren's eyes. As a friend to all, she was generous with her time and support, always ready to help anyone in need. She was a donor to numerous charities including St. Jude's Hospital, Shriners, multiple TBN's, Joyce Myers, Kenneth Copeland, Alzheimer's disease research, to disabled veterans' programs, The Kids Network, toys for tots, diabetes charities, and breast cancer charities. She was a smart and creative woman who enjoyed word find puzzles and drawing. Maria was a woman of faith; she lived a life modeled from the Lord and loved to read her bible. She leaves behind a legacy of good people who continue forward with certain hope and faith that one day we will all be reunited once again.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks for everyone's love and support. The outpour of love and donations through the Go Fund Me mean so much to the family during this difficult time.

Maria is preceded in death by her daughter, Veronica Garcia and her mother Raquel Linares.

Family members include her children, Mary Ann Diaz (Joe A. Diaz), Donna Morales, Rosalinda Linares and Ruben Lee Ortiz; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous siblings; in addition to numerous extended loved ones.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Castillo Funeral Home for visitation from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and a Chapel Service will be conducted at 6:00 pm.

Guests should arrive at Castillo Funeral Home on Monday, September 25, 2023, by 9:00 am for departure to San Fernando Cemetery II for the graveside service at 9:30 am.
