"Lola" Romero Guerrero
September 22, 1943 – May 2, 2024
Maria Dolores "Lola" Romero Guerrero was born on September 22,1943 and was called home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2024, at the age of 80. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed by many, and her legacy will live on through her family and loved ones.
Maria led a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and filled the room with joy with her presence. She touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of love and generosity. Maria had a passion for art and music whom she shared that love with many of her friends and family. She was also an active member of the community in which she was involved in volunteer work at nursing homes and the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center and was a devoted member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She loved reliving memories she had of her children and memories she had in her earlier years by telling stories to her grandchildren and great grandchildren to keep her memories alive.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Hilario Romero and Theodora Romero; her brothers and sisters, and sons Angel Romero and Gerardo Ordones. She is survived by her loving husband Ruben Martinez Garcia, daughter Monica Ordones, sister Janitzia Romero, grandchildren Robert Romero, Kristy Romero, Katy Riojas, David Riojas, Kyrstie Riojas, Emily Riojas, Judy M. Ordones, Sylvia (Ralph) Aguilar, Melissa (Robert) Gonzalez, Angel Ordonez, Gerardo Ordonez Jr. She is also survived by her great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a rosary service.
A funeral mass will be conducted on Thursday, May 9, 2024, in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church at 10:30 am. The burial will follow with a graveside service at First Memorial Park.
