Maria R. Meza, beloved mother and grandmother, entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2026 at the age of 86. She was born in San Antonio, Texas to the late Ernesto Ramirez and Jacinta Lopez on December 26, 1939.

She is reunited in heaven with her husband, Jose A. Meza; parents, Ernesto Ramirez and Jacinta Lopez; brothers, Guadalupe Rios, Teofilo Ramirez, Inocente Ramirez; and sister Celestina Contreras.

She is survived by her children, Manuel Perez (Gladys), Irma Mancillas (Robert), Jose Perez (Diane), Rebecca Hettich (Ken), Ernesto Rodriguez (Mari), Jesus Rodriguez (Patricia), Jose A. Meza Jr (Barbara); 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Our mom was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed quilting, shopping, and most of all she loved spending time with family. Everyone that walked through her door automatically felt her love. She never let you leave her house empty handed. You're either taking home a cup of frozen beans or something she picked out for you from her weekly shopping trip. She was a woman with many names, mom, grandma, gigi, donut grandma, back grandma, Tia. She has left a legacy that will live on for many generations.
