Maria M Nunez was called home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2021 at the blessed age of 89.  She was born in Realitos, TX on December 4, 1931 to Margarito and Vicenta Martinez.  She is reunited In Heaven with her beloved husband, Antonio D Nunez, her son Ruben M Nunez, her parents, and her son-in-law Johnny G. Rios Jr.  She was a devoted sister, wife, mother and grandmother.  She married Antonio D Nunez on September 16, 1951.  They shared 60 years of marriage together and raised 5 beautiful children.

Our mother loved to cook, enjoyed gardening, dancing, going to garage sales & flea markets, volunteered at church functions.  But her favorite place of all was their family ranch where she made many memories.

Our mother will be truly missed and NO one could ever replace her.  She will forever be in our hearts.

Maria will be truly missed by her children Margarita Faragoza ( Rene Sr), Antonio M Nunez Jr ( Benita), Joe Nunez, and Martha Ann Nunez Rios and daughter in law Belinda Nunez, 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren & 1 on the way; 5 great, great grandchildren, sister Valentina Vela and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will take place at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 3:30 pm until 7:30 pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6 pm.   Family and friends will meet at the Funeral Home on Thursday, June 10, 2021 to depart in procession at 9:00 am for a Funeral Mass at St. Dominic's Catholic Church at 10:00 am.

Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Devine, TX.   In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Dominic's Catholic Church.
