Maria Olga Garcia

April 30 1944 to  August 27, 2025

Maria Olga Garcia, affectionately known as Olga, was born in San Antonio, Texas, to her beloved parents Rogelio G. Garcia and Juanita C. Garcia. Throughout her life, Olga was known for her dedication, warmth, and unwavering work ethic.

She held various roles in her career, beginning with the Holiday Inn in downtown San Antonio. She later served at Fort Sam Houston for 15 years as a presser for military uniforms and ultimately found her long-term professional home at University Hospital on Floyd Curl and Babcock Road, where she worked faithfully for 27 years until her retirement.

Following her retirement, Olga married her loving husband, Cirilo Sorto Arevalo, a native of El Salvador, who survives her.

Olga is also survived by her older sister Aurora Garcia; her son Edward Briones his daughters Jennifer and Megan; her brother Rogelio Garcia Jr., his wife Sylvia M. Garcia, and their daughters Bricia R. Garcia and Claudia D Garcia; Bricia's sons are Ryan Martinez and Noah Driver. She leaves behind many cherished cousins, including Juanita, Benny Contreras, Jerry and Rosario, Joe Perez, and his children Esmeralda and Joey.
