Obituary for Maria Guadalupe
Maria Guadalupe passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was 78 years old. Born in Brownsville, Texas, on September 2, 1946, Maria lived a life full of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those around her.
She was a passionate Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs fan, always cheering for her teams with enthusiasm. Maria also had a deep love for horror movies, often enjoying them with a big bowl of buttery popcorn. She found joy in baking cookies, cupcakes, and cakes, filling her home with the sweet aroma of her creations. Her caring nature was unmatched—she was always there for anyone in need of a listening ear, a comforting word, or simply a warm hug. Children naturally gravitated toward her, and she welcomed them all with an open heart.
Maria found happiness in life's simple pleasures, whether it was sitting outside, listening to music, and enjoying cookout food, or decorating her home for every season and holiday. She had a special love for collecting owls and seashells, treasures that brought her joy throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Meza; mother, Maria Inez Meza; sister, Maria Delaluz Contreras; and husband, Lewis Kilpatrick.
Maria is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by:
