Maria R. Martinez

January 19, 1937 – August 16, 2021

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Maria R. Martinez, 84, entered into Heaven on August 16, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. As a wife and homemaker, she was an ever-constant presence to her family. Home was truly her favorite place in the world, particularly with her husband, Tim, by her side. She was modest, kind and incredibly patient – a true example of what it means to be a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Alberta Ramirez; father, Marcos Ramirez; brother, Frank Ramirez; and sisters, Enriqueta Camarena, Andrea Almeria and Isabel Jaramillo.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Timoteo Martinez; son, Daniel Martinez; daughter, Maria Stothoff (Stuart); son Gabriel Martinez (Jennifer); son, Timoteo Martinez; granddaughter, Nichelle Santiago (Noel); grandson, Brandon Martinez, Patrick Martinez, Samuel Martinez and Marcus Martinez; as well as great-grandsons, Feliciano Valenzuela, Dominic Valenzuela, Ronin Santiago, and a baby boy or girl due March 2022. Additional survivors include her sisters, Carmen Dominguez and Pat Lona; and brothers, Carlos Ramirez and Anastacio Ramirez.

A private Visitation and Mass will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home and St. Dominic Catholic Church on  August 24, 2021,  followed by Interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on August 31, 2021.
