Maria S. Orozco was called home to Heaven on October 1, 2022 at the blessed age of 98. Maria was born on January 24, 1924 in Eagle Pass, Texas to the late Pablo and Elena Saenz. Maria was a proud homemaker who loved to take care of children. She loved to cook- her family especially enjoyed her fresh tortillas and fideo! Maria enjoyed family gatherings and especially birthday parties. Family gatherings were her favorite, nothing gave her more pleasure than to see her family enjoying her cooking and listening to some of her favorite musicians like Vicente Fernandez. Maria married the love of her life, Juan Orozco, in 1942 and they spent 49 years together until he passed in 1992. She was a dedicated wife and mother who will be missed dearly. Maria is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Juan Orozco; parents Pablo and Elena Saenz; son Juan Orozco Jr., and her siblings Tave Saenz, Pablo C. Saenz, Jr., Florentino Saenz, Elena Baez and Carmen Contreras. Maria is survived by her daughters Maria Elena Lopez (Lupe) and Carmen Sandoval (Raul); son Paul Orozco; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren; brother Carlos Saenz (Angie); and numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 3:30pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary at 6:30pm. Family and friends will depart from Castillo Funeral Home at 9:30am on Friday, October 14, 2022 for a 10:00am graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery II.
