In Loving Memory of Maria Saucedo
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Maria Saucedo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who entered eternal rest peacefully on May 28, 2026, at the blessed age of 99.
Born on November 27, 1926, in Del Rio, Texas, Maria lived a life defined by unwavering faith, unconditional love, selfless devotion, and extraordinary strength. For nearly a century, she touched countless lives through her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit. She was the heart of her family the steady presence who brought comfort during difficult times, joy during celebrations, and love into every room she entered.
Maria’s greatest pride and deepest joy were her family. She devoted her life to caring for those she loved, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her home was a place of warmth, where the aroma of home-cooked meals filled the air and family gatherings were filled with laughter, stories, and cherished memories. Whether through a comforting embrace, a warm meal, or a simple act of kindness, Maria had a remarkable way of making everyone feel loved and welcomed.
She is survived by her loving children:
Jose Isabel Saucedo
Anastacio Saucedo Jr.
Guadalupe Garcia
Guillermo Saucedo
Lorenzo Javier Saucedo
Blanca Leticia Saucedo
Sandra Elguezabal
Silvia Saucedo
Pedro Saucedo
She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family, all of whom were blessed by her wisdom, guidance, and endless affection.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anastacio Saucedo, the love of her life and devoted partner for 79 years, as well as her cherished sons, Roberto Saucedo and Jose Luis Saucedo. While our hearts ache with their loss, we find comfort in imagining their joyful reunion.
Though our family grieves the loss of an extraordinary woman, we are grateful for the countless memories she leaves behind. Her love was the foundation upon which generations were built, and her lessons of faith, resilience, humility, and compassion will continue to guide us for years to come. The love she gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation services will be held on June 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Castillo Funeral Home.
Maria’s presence was a gift, her love was a blessing, and her memory will remain a treasure forever. Though she is no longer by our side, she will forever live in our hearts.
She will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and never forgotten.
