Maria de Socorro G. "kokie" Torres, born on May 4th, 1946, was called home to be with our Lord on June 11, 2024, at the age of 78.  She was born in Lyford, Texas to the late, Guadalupe V. Garcia and Adrian Garcia. Maria is reunited in Heaven with her parents; grandson, Andrae Olguin; brothers, Pablo Galvan and Adrian Garcia.  Mrs. Torres is loved and will be greatly missed by her husband of 48 years,  Jesus C. Torres Jr.; children, Maximo Cantu, San Juanita Rocha, Jorge S. Rocha, Norma A. Rocha and Jesus Torres III;   brothers and sisters Joe Garcia , Maria de Jesus Garcia and  Manual A. Garcia; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren 3 great-great-grandchildren as well as other loving relatives and friends .

She was a dedicated worker, she worked for Con Angra (La Choy) for 35 years and retired in 1998.  She was full of love and Joy.  She had a heart of gold.  Her love will remain in our Hearts for all eternity.
