Maria Teresa Martinez entered into rest on Friday, April 23, 2021 at the age of 61 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Mexico to Oscar Gutierrez and Maria Gloria Benavidez. She is reunited in Heaven with her brothers George and Oscar Gutierrez, granddaughter Angelica Diaz, and grandmother Adelina Chapa. Maria leaves her legacy in the heart and actions of her beloved husband of 8 years Miguel Martinez; sons Juan Gonzalez and Jorge Gonzalez; daughters Brenda Gonzalez, Veronica Gonzalez, and Maria Ortiz, 19 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; mother Gloria Benavidez; siblings Amando Morales, Victor Morales, and Alvin Morales.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 3:30pm until 7:30pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00pm. Family and friends will depart at 9:30am from Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Thursday, May 6, 2021 for a 10:00 am Graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery III.
