Maria "Tillie" Zapata, born February 24th, 1932 in San Antonio, Tx, passed May 3rd, 2021. Maria was preceded in death by Daughter in law Mary Helen Zapata & Grandson David Louis Zapata. Maria was married to Louis C. Zapata for 71 wonderful years. Together they were blessed with a loving family: Son John D Zapata, children Monica & Marcelo Acevedo, Johnathan & Maria Zapata Son David Zapata wife Janie Zapata children Michelle & Brandon Crawford Daughter Grace & Joel Merino children Marisa & Brandon Littlefield, Noah Merino. She had 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Maria was immersed in the Catholic community and was a life time member of Christ the King Church. She loved church Bingo and her friends. Tillie will be remembered by the singing of her favorite songs and always having a nice cold Lone Star beer in her coffee cup. She will be greatly missed by many but never forgotten. Until we meet again.

Visitation will take place on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 10am until 11:30am at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. Family and friends will depart in procession at 11:30am to Christ the King Catholic Church for a 12pm Mass. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
