Maria G Villarreal our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great- great grandmother passed away January 20, 2024, at 84 years of age.  She lived in San Antonio, Texas, and she passed peacefully into rest surrounded by family and loved ones.

She was born the youngest of eight children to Sebastian Gamez and Maria Juaquina T Gamez in San Antonio, Texas.

Maria (MOM) is reunited in Heaven with The Lord Jesus Christ and her husband Faustino Villarreal Jr, her parents Sebastian, and Maria Juaquina T Gamez and her siblings Magalena G Rodriguez, Gertrudes G Rodriguez (Tule's) Gonzala G Carrillo (Chala), Alberto Gamez (Beto), and Sebastian Jesus T Gamez (Jesse).

She is survived by her children: Sindey G Winter (Kenneth A. Winter Jr.), Allen R Gamez (Victoria B Gamez), Belinda Garcia (Jose A. Garcia), Faustino Villarreal III (Michelle D. Villarreal), Sebastian G Villarreal (Jessica M. Villarreal), and Jacqueline G. Villarreal. Her brother Eluterio Gamez and sister Teresa G. Acuna.

She leaves 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren 2 great-great grandchildren. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Maria loved making memories while spending time with family. She enjoyed selling Tupperware, Avon, and Home Interior. She also enjoyed watching Novellas, old western movies and she was a Big Fan of The San Antonio Spurs especially David Robinson and also a Big Fan of The Dallas Cowboys   .  . She loved playing Mexican bingo and Phase 10. She was a very crafty woman that could make anything for any type of occasion and would always lend a helping hand to anyone. She didn't know the word "No" and she would help anyone in need, (MOM) had a Heart Of Gold. She also loved going on trips and loved to gamble at various casinos.

Services for (MOM) Maria G Villarreal will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024, with A Celebration of life at Castillo Funeral Home 520 N General McMullen Dr, San Antonio, TX 78228.  With visitations from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Rosary services to start at 6:00 p.m.  A mass of remembrance will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel 1204 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237 at 10:00 am. Interment at San Fernando Cemetery II.
