Maria Antonieta Villarreal Fierros, 84, wife of Jose B. Fierros passed away Thursday morning (December 22, 2022) at her residence surrounded by family. She was born on September 20, 1938, in Mexico, a daughter of the late Marta and Vicente Villarreal.
Maria truly lived her life for the Lord, she was an active member of San Martin De Porres who attended mass regularly and sung in the choir of the church. She was a member of Sociedad Fraternal Cruz Blanca. Maria happily took care of her family and home, and in her free time Maria enjoyed playing games of bingo or trying her luck on the slot machines. She loved to crochet or get in the kitchen to cook and bake with love for those she cared dearly about. Maria truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, great conversation, singing, and making someone smile. She provided support, encouragement, and guidance to all who knew her. May she rest in peace and let the perpetual light shine upon her.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Benito Villarreal, Vicente Villarreal, Daniel Villarreal, Americo Villarreal, Cesar Villarreal, Elvira Martinez, Bertha Gutierrez, Dora Solano, Alma Balderas, and Micaela Perez.
Family members include a husband of 65 years, Jose B. Fierros and her children, Jose Miguel (Mike), Maria Guadalupe (Lupita), Alma Delia, Leonardo, Maria Antonieta (Gulies), and Gracie; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchildren; a sister, Alicia Botello; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.
The family will receive guest for visitation from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Castillo Funeral Home with a Rosary Service beginning at 6:00 pm.
A funeral mass will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, January 5, 2023, at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mission Park South Cemetery.
