Maria Hortencia Villegas went to be with our Lord on May 29, 2021, at the age of 58. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 19, 1962, to Eliobardo and Hortencia Gonzalez.

Maria was deeply loved and brought immense joy to those around her. She spent most of her life in San Antonio TX where she attended Memorial High School. Maria never missed any events, not any softball games for her grandchildren nor did she miss any of her children's sporting activities. Maria was known to the family as the life of the party. She was loud, loved to drink, and loved dancing and singing. Maria loved her some enchiladas, chicken alfredo, and bbq food. Maria would always call family members "cheap" for girl or "chepo" for boy.

She leaves behind to cherish in his memory her spouse of 17 years, Samuel Espinosa; her parents Hortencia Gonzalez Mesquia and Eliobardo Gonzalez; her children, Joe Villegas Jr. and Bianca Maria Villegas; and her four grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Castillo Mission Funeral Home from 12:30-4:30pm with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00pm. This will conclude all services.
