Obituary

Marina Chavez Botello was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in San Antonio, TX at the blessed age of 77. She was preceded in death by her parents Fernando and Cruz Chavez, husband Ruben Botello, and brother Fernando Chavez Jr. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her children Cynthia Botello Torres, Ruben Botello Jr. (Carmen), Antonio Botello, Fernando Botello; grandchildren Marina Torres (John), Brandon Torres, Priscilla Ruiz, Gabriela Botello, and Nicholas Botello; great-grandson Dean Sanchez; sister Teresa Vega (Pete); as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Born on December 1, 1945, Marina and her family grew up in Laredo, TX. After marrying her husband Ruben, they moved to San Antonio where they built a beautiful life together. They were blessed with 4 children, who went on to bless them with 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Marina devoted her entire life to caring for her family. She will be forever remembered for her infectious laugh, unwavering devotion to her loved ones, and beautiful smile that could light up an entire room.

Heaven has gained our most cherished blessing; until we are united again.

2 Timothy 4:6-8 " I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
