Marina King entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the age of 51. She was born on December 5, 1970, in Corpus Christi, TX.
Marina was a strong, independent woman, an influencer to younger generations, mentoring and encouraging their full potential. She was a compassionate spirit strongly devoted to caring for others. She made you feel like you were the most important person in the world at that moment with that warm smile that could light up a room.
Marina's accomplishments include a degree in automotive at St Phillips College, Victorious Believer Bible School and General Management until retirement. She was a devoted Christian and regularly attended Word of Faith. She served in a multitude of auxiliaries and was an active member of Keepers of the House & VIP Transportation.
Marina had a positive outlook on life, her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. She cared so deeply and always stepped up to support the things she believed in regardless of the personal cost. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Marina. Family and friends were Marina's passion and delight.
Marina was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, Tia, cousin and friend. Marina was preceded in death by her dad Homero Garcia, Grandparents Jose & Carolina Moreno, Tia Magdalena Moreno, Tio Jose Moreno and Tio Rey Moreno. Marina is survived by her children: Rudolph Ortega Jr, Blanca and Jose Guerra, Roger Ortega, Tevin King and Apollo. Former spouse Kevin King, Mother Blanca St. John, Grandchildren: Kira Guerra, Eliana Ortega, Kaylee Guerra and Nathaniel Ortega.
Siblings: Homero García Jr, Carolina Medrano, Louis García, Melissa García. Godson Roman Hernandez & numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days. Her lively spirit, generous heart, and beautiful smile will be greatly missed by all the lives she has touched.
