Mario L. Alvarado passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at the age of 74. He was born to Basilio Alvarado and Freida Alice Alvarado in Poteet, TX, on January 28, 1946.

Mario was an avid lover of music. He loved to sing and dance and enjoyed spending time with the family. Mario always dreamed of playing the accordion.

Mario is preceded in death by his father, Basilio Alvarado, his mother, Freida Alice Alvarado, and sister-in-law, Emilia U. Alvarado.

He is survived by his brothers, Basilio Noy Alvarado (the late Emilia), William Alvarado (Elsa), and Ronald Alvarado; nephews and nieces: Eloy Alvarado (Rebecca), Belinda Gill (Lawrence), Melinda Serrata (Frank), Manuel Alvarado (Barbara), and Aaron Lee Alvarado; and numerous grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 1pm until 5pm with a Rosary to be recited at 3pm. Family and friends will say their final goodbyes at 9:00 am and depart in procession to St. Joseph- South San Catholic Church. Mass is scheduled at 10:30 but we need to arrive early to be screened prior to Mass beginning.
