Mario Guajardo
December 5, 1955 – October 17, 2025
Mario Guajardo, age 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of his girls in his home. Born in San Antonio, Texas, on December 5, 1955, Mario lived a life filled with love, dedication, and family.
In February 1976, Mario married his middle school sweetheart, Rachel Rincon Guajardo, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rachel, and their two daughters, Regina Mendoza (Raul) and Roxanne Guajardo (Jose). Mario's greatest joy was being "Grandpa" to his three beloved grandchildren — Ryan, Roman, and Rozlyn — who meant the world to him.
In 1975, Mario started his career as an anesthesia technician, a career he deeply valued and took great pride in. His commitment to his work reflected his caring nature and his desire to make a difference in the lives of others. He loved what he did.
A true San Antonian at heart, Mario was a proud Spurs fan who loved cooking out, spending time in his tool shed, and gathering with family. He cherished every moment shared with his loved ones and created lasting memories that will be treasured forever.
Mario was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Olivia Guajardo, and his brother, Joe D. Guajardo. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Pete (Barbara) Guajardo; sister-in-laws Ruby Martinez (Hector) and Ronda Rincon; brother-in-laws Gregory (Connie) Rincon and Adam (Pam) Rincon; his godchildren Greg Rincon III, Joe Rincon, and Gabrielle Valle; niece Racine Martinez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Mario's warmth, humor, and devotion to his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to strength, hard work, and love — a legacy that will endure through his family and the memories they shared.
