Mario Guerrero Rodriguez, beloved Father and Grandfather, passed away
peacefully surrounded by family on October 30, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born July 23, 1947, in Uvalde, Texas, Mario was the son of Juan M.
Rodriguez and Beatrice G. Rodriguez. He later moved to San Antonio and
married Anita Faz with whom he had four children; Anna Marie, Christoval,
Leticia, and Jim. Mario dedicated over 20 years to foundation work with
Beck and Duderstadt and was known for his Supervisory role and skill with
heavy equipment, especially his favorites - Bobcat and Backhoe.
He will be remembered for his strong leadership, devotion to family, and his
unwavering love for his grandchildren. He loved dancing with his daughters
to his favorite band, Hometown Boys, and sharing his knowledge of all
trades with his sons. Mario also enjoyed shopping for fedoras at Penner's
and searching for the best fried chicken in town.
Mario is survived by Anita Rodriguez; His children Anna Marie Lucas,
Christoval Rodriguez, Leticia Rodriguez, Jim Rodriguez and his wife Gilda;
Grandchildren Christopher Ryan Rodriguez and his wife Shelby, Taylor
Lucas, Jeffrey Bryan Lucas, Miguel Baez, Tristan Rodriguez, Madison
Rodriguez, Christiana Rodriguez, Alaina Rodriguez, Jim Ryan Rodriguez,
Kayla and husband Matthew Sanchez; His Great Grandchildren Kaylee
Rodriguez, Amelia Rodriguez, Zoe and Remi Sanchez; His Brother Joe
Rodriguez and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in
death by his parents Beatrice and Juan Rodriguez, and Siblings Oscar,
Maria, and Junior Rodriguez.
A Rosary will be held on November 10th at 6:00 pm at Castillo Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will follow November 11th at 10:30am at St. Jude Catholic
Church with graveside at Memorial First Burial in Von Ormy,Texas.
Mario was loved and respected by many. His legacy lives on through his
family, and he will forever remain in their hearts. The family invites you to
keep Mario and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
