Mario Rodriguez of San Antonio,TX passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the age of 84.
Mario was born on July 2, 1936 in Natalia, TX to parents Gumesindo and Angelina Rodriguez. He farmed for many years of his life on the family ranch in Natalia. He grew and sold his vegetables to the Farmers Market. He grew up with a passion for music. He was a self-taught accordion player without the need to read sheet music. Mario was a dedicated cursillista, known for their greetings of "De Colores". Mario and his wife Rosa, joined a prison ministry group traveling and visiting Texas prisons to spread music and the word of God to inmates. Mario had a full life and loved all of his family and friends.

Mario is preceded in death by his parents, son Luis Rodriguez, sisters Antonia Resendez, Guadalupe Hererra, Macaria Rodriguez, Isabel Vasquez, Maria Nicolasa Faz, and his brothers Domingo Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez, and Pedro Rodriguez.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Rosa Rodriguez, his children, Daniel (Oscar) Rodriguez, Debbie (Israel) Rios, and Rosemary (Nicholas) Knox, his grandchildren Danielle Rios, Israel Rios II, Gabrielle Rios, Cassidy Knox, Noah Knox, and Annabell Knox, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
