Obituary

Mary DeLeon passed away peacefully on October 29, 2021 surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was 86 years old. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 25, 1935.

Mary worked at Division Laundry for so many years and later retured to enjoy time with family and grandchildren. She treasured the beautiful memories she created with her loving family throughout her 86 years of life that God had blessed her. She's a beautiful, loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Mary was sweet, outgoing, funny, and outspoken. Mary loves all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She also loved taking care of kids, going shopping, browsing the flea-markets, and heading out to Buc-ee's. She also loved going to casinos and dining out.. every time we invited her out she would say "Vamos, honey, I need some money and I'm ready! Let's go!"

Besides going shopping and visiting the casinos, Mary also liked going for walks, doing crossword puzzles, cooking, watching novellas, scratching lottery tickets, cleaning, yard work, keeping her flowers pretty and her grass green. Her favorite game show was "The Price is Right" and "Let's make a deal". She loved dogs but also had a cat that showed up on her doorstep that she named Blackie. Her favorite snacks were banana nut ice cream, sweetbread, and Mexican candy. Most precious to Mary was her faith in God.

Mary is reunited in Heaven with her son Eddie DeLeon; great-granddaughter Angel Garcia; parents Antonio & Antonia Estrada; sisters Amalia Orosco, Kathy Gutierrez, and Beatrice Hernandez; and brothers Tonio Trevino and Tito Trevino.

Mary is loved and will be missed by her wonderful, loving Husband of 68 years Marcus DeLeon Jr.; daughters Terry Arredondo (Chris), Joy Sanchez (Lupe), Diana Paredez (George); sons Bobby DeLeon, Christopher DeLeon; daughter-in-law Mary Lou DeLeon; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
