Obituary for Mary Elaine Donias

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Mary Elaine Donias, born February 19,1956, who entered eternal rest on January 29, 2026.

Elaine lived a life defined by dedication, resilience and unwavering love for her family.  She faithfully served in the civil service for 40 years, working at Kelly Air Force Base and later retiring from Lackland Air Force Base.  Her strong work ethic, reliability, and quiet strength earned the respect of colleagues and all who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Family was the center of Elaine's world.  She was the beloved wife of Rudy Z. Donias and loving mother to Jose Anaya (Andrea) and Gesenia Anaya.  She was also a devoted stepmother to Rudy Donias Jr, (Janette), Monica Castro (Richard) and Mark Donias (Angela), embracing her blended family with warmth and care.

Her greatest joy was her grandchildren: Reymond, Leo, Jose, Andrew, and Avelynn, as well as her step-grandchildren: Rey, Mark Jr., Alex, Matthew, Destiny, Faith, Paul, Gabriel, Mia and John.  She also leaves behind close family members Uncle Pete Rayna and Debbie Harris, along with many extended relatives and dear friends who love her deeply.

Elaine will be remembered for her gentle heart, steady presence, and the love she gave so freely.  Her legacy lives in the family she nurtured, the lives she touched, and the example of strength and devotion she set for those who knew her.

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, beginning at 4:00 p.m., followed with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Castillo Funeral Home.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
