In Loving Memory of Mary Magdalen Duncan
July 22, 1965 – June 14, 2026
With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of Mary Magdalen Duncan, affectionately known as Magda, Maggie, Mary, Mom, and Mimi, who entered into eternal rest on June 14, 2026, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Mary faced every challenge with remarkable strength, grace, and unwavering faith. Even in the most difficult moments, she never lost her beautiful smile or her ability to make others laugh. Her resilience inspired everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing pickleball, cheering on her beloved San Antonio Spurs, and spending precious time with the people she loved most. Above all, Mary was devoted to her family. Being a mother and “Mimi” was the greatest joy of her life, and her love knew no bounds.
Mary leaves behind her loving children, Nicole, Francisco, Joshua, and Alexus, who will forever carry her love and wisdom in their hearts. She was a proud and devoted Mimi to Aaron, Zara, and Ava, who brought immeasurable happiness to her life.
She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Francisco, Joel, and Alma, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by her kindness and generosity.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Enriqueta and Francisco Garza, and her beloved sister, Leticia, who have now welcomed her home into eternal peace.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Mary’s love, faith, strength, and radiant smile will live on in every life she touched. Her legacy is one of compassion, courage, laughter, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.
