Mary Helen (Nena) Guerra was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 20, 2021 at the blessed age of 82. She was born March 2, 1939 in San Antonio, TX to Alejandro and Manuela Cruz. She is reunited in heaven with her parents, her brother Alex Cruz, Jr. granddaughter Jovana Placido and husband Angeles Guerra. She is loved and will be greatly missed by children Jerry Salinas (Ofelia), Sylvia Ortega, Sandra Cruz (Mike); grandchildren; Erika Pompa, Sandra Lopez (Louis), Jerry Salinas Jr. (Valerie), Jessica Saucedo, Hobby Ortega, Jenevieve Salinas, Maria Bias (Billy), Michele Cruz and Michael Cruz II (Priscilla); 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister Brenda Bevan; aunt Guadalupe Castillo; as well as extended family members. Nena was a Nurse for 45 years. Nursing was her passion.  She enjoyed traveling with her children and loved spending time with her great grandchildren.  She also loved to read, especially her natural medicine literature.  After retiring at the age of 75, she enjoyed caring for her plants, reading and watching old western movies. She always ended her conversations on the phone with "Love you" and "God Bless You".  Her prayer life was a testimony of her great faith in God. Heaven has gained our most beloved blessing.
