Obituary

Mary Helen Garcia, 91, widow of Jesse Garcia Jr., went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on August 18, 1932, in Eagle Pass, Texas, a daughter of the late Antonia Roman and Cesario Roman.

Prior to her retirement she was employed with Kelly Air Force Base and the County Court House. She also worked part time as a notary public, income tax consultant and automobile title consultant.

Mary led a remarkable life filled with her passions and accomplishments. At 60 years of age, she completed her associate degree. She was deeply respected and touched the lives of her family members "and so many good friends" with whom she found immense joy being around.

In addition to her husband, Jesse Garcia Jr., and parents, Antonia Roman and Cesario Roman, she was also preceded in death by a son Larry Garcia and brother, Cesar Roman.

Family members include her daughter, Diana Roznowski and son, Jesse R. Garcia;

Grandchildren: Shianne Garcia, Jessica Chavez, Zachary Roznowski and Mischa Boynton;

Nieces: Olga Hoffman, Linda Blanton, Melissa Bolden, Laura Bailey;

Nephews: Al Rodriguez, Art Gonzales and Eddie Gonzales; in addition to numerous extended family members and friends;

Lifelong best friends: Nancy Esparza and Vangie Beltran "

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, "at" Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for the Rosary Service.

A funeral mass will be conducted on Thursday, February 29, 2024, "at" St. Luke's Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Burial will follow with a graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery II.
