Mary Jane Hernandez, 68, wife of Joe Favela, went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2024, at her residence in San Antonio Texas. She was born on February 21, 1955, in Falcon, Texas, a daughter of the late, Dora G. And Luciano Flores.

Mary lived her life guided by the love of and for her family, her zest for the simple pleasures, and her faith in the lord. She believed in the words of the Lord and often prayed for those she held dear to heart. She loved to sing and dance, some of the simplest pleasures she was talented enough to share with those who knew her and created memories that would last past her lifetime. Her greatest joy in life were her family. Generations of genuinely good people that she played a large role in shaping. She accomplished much in life but her role within her family was her greatest. She will be remembered always until we meet again.

In addition to her parents, Dora G. And Luciano Flores, she is also preceded in death by Juan Flores, Diamantina Gutierrez, Maria Flores, Guillermo Flores, Luis Flores and Obi Flores.

Family members include her husband of 25+ years Jose Favela; children, Isabella Hernandez, Josephine Hernandez and George Hernandez; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; daughter in law, Rebeca Rodriguez; in addition to numerous extended family members.

The family will receive guests on January 27, 2024, at Castillo Funeral Home between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm for visitation and at 3:00 pm for a prayer service.
