Mary Lou Pena entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at the age of 79. She was born on April 17, 1941, to the late Roman and Delfina Montoya in San Antonio, Texas. She is reunited in Heaven with her parents, sisters Lucy Cantu, Leonora Mora, Ramona Rodriguez, and Virginia Montoya. Mary Lou leaves her legacy behind with her beloved husband of 61 years, Gilbert Nick Pena; children Mary Lou Mendoza, Yvonne Pena (Anastacia Lopez), and Gilbert Pena Jr.; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Jesse Montoya; and numerous loving extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 3:30 pm until 7:30 pm with The Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm. Family and friends will meet at Castillo Mission Funeral Home at 8:45 am on Thursday, April 22, 2021, to depart in procession for a 9:30 am graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery III.
