Mary T. Garcia passed away peacefully, at her home, on February 28, 2025, with her daughter, Sandra Garcia by her side. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 29, 1931. Mary loved her family, and she will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her. Mary is reunited in heaven with her mother Guadalupe Perales and father Mauricio Talamantez (Elvira) sons John Joe Garcia and Jesse Pena, great granddaughter Isabella Jade Waller, brother Henry B. Talamantez, sister Elvira Livar, grandmother Adelaida Talamantez and aunt Eulalia Talamantez. Mary is loved and will be forever missed by her son Julio Garcia, Jr., daughters Roxanne Mink, Sandra Garcia and Debra Navaira, sister Herminia Talamantez (Armando Dimas), brothers Maurico Talamantez (Gloria) and Edward Talamantez (Esmeralda), sister-in-law Mary Garcia, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren plus numerous nephews, nieces family and friends. Visitation will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. that evening. On Monday, March 17, 2025, a formal funeral home departure will occur at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at Immaculate Concepcion Catholic Church located at 314 Merida San Antonio, Texas 78207 with interment to follow at San Juan Cemetery.
