Mary Toney, a devoted member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church since the age of 7, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, at the age of 103. Born on October 25, 1921, Mary dedicated her life to her faith, family, and community. She married her beloved husband, Leslie Toney, a World War II veteran, at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church on August 18, 1947. They shared a beautiful life together until Leslie's passing on January 12, 1985.

Mary worked at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church for 27 years, where she was known for her dedication and kindness. She was a devout Catholic, whose faith was a cornerstone of her life. Mary was the last surviving sibling of five sisters, and one brothers. She is survived by her four children: Leslie Toney Jr., David Toney and his wife Alice, Mark Toney, and Mary Helen Enriquez and her husband Blas Enriquez. Mary was also a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing and rosary will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament 600 Oblate Dr, San Antonio, TX 78216 on December 26, 2024, with the viewing starting at 4 PM and the rosary at 6 PM. The funeral service will take place on December 27, 2024, at 12 noon, followed by her burial next to her beloved husband, Leslie Toney, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Mary's legacy of faith, love, and devotion will be cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
