In Loving Memory of Mary V. Rodriguez 

Mary V. Rodriguez passed away peacefully at home on August 4, 2026, surrounded by the children, grandchildren, and family who loved her dearly. Born on May 18, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas, Mary lived a life filled with love, family, hard work, laughter, and countless memories that will remain in our hearts forever. Mary was more than a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the heart of her family. Her family meant everything to her, and there was always room for one more at her table, one more person to help, and one more story to tell. Her home was a place where people felt welcomed, loved, and cared for. She had a way of making people feel like they belonged. Mary was the daughter of Clemente and Rosita D. Vasquez and one of eight siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Jesus M. Rodriguez Jr, and her brothers Clemente, Eusevio, Alvino, and Antonio D. Vasquez; her sisters Juanita V. Puente, Frances V. Barrientes, and Victoria V. Morales; and her son-in-law Richard Albury. She leaves behind her children, Sally Ann Henderson (Frederica Yarborough), Johnny Gerald Henderson, Libertad Felan, Rosita Hernandez (Gabriella Hernandez), Fabian Felan (Stephanie Felan), Jessica Landrum (Michael Landrum), and Seferina Albury (Richard Albury), along with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever carry a piece of her in their hearts. Mary was a talented seamstress who took great pride in her work. With her hands, she could create something beautiful from almost nothing. Sewing was not simply a skill for her—it was a part of who she was. Her creativity, patience, and dedication were reflected in everything she made. But perhaps Mary's greatest gift was the love she gave so freely. She was generous with her time, her home, her food, and most of all, her heart. She loved having her family around her. Some of our most precious memories will be the simple ones—sitting together, talking, laughing, eating, arguing a little, and then laughing about it later. Mary's love was not always expressed with big words. It was in the things she did. It was in the way she cared for her family, the way she opened her home, and the way she made sure everyone was taken care of. That was Mom. That was Grandma. That was Mary. Her family will miss her voice, her chisme, her laughter, her strength, and even the little things that we may not have appreciated enough until now. We will miss being able to call her, go out to eat with her, shop with her, sit beside her, hug her, and simply know that she was there. Although our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the years, the lessons, the laughter, and the love she gave us. We will continue to tell her stories, share her memories, and pass her love down to the generations that come after us. Mom, you may no longer be sitting at the head of the table, but you will always be at the center of our family. We love you. We miss you. And we will carry you with us for the rest of our lives. Services Open visitation for Mary will be Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Castillo Mission Funeral Home, 520 N. General McMullen, San Antonio, TX 78228, with a Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. Family and friends may also visit from 8:00–8:30 AM before departing for the church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 9:30 AM at St Patrick's Catholic Church, 1114 Willow St, San Antonio, TX 78208. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 11:00 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209.
