Maura L. Chavez was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the blessed age of 86. She was born August 8, 1936 in Monterrey, N.L, MX to Casimiro and Maura Llanas. She is reunited in heaven with her parents; daughter Maria Del Refugio Chavez McLarty. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her husband of 65 years Jose Chavez; children Juanita Salazar, Joe Chavez, Jr. (Sarah), Michael D. Chavez (Theresa), Martha Arceneaux, Saturnino Chavez (Susan); 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Martha Llamas; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. Heaven has gained our most beloved blessing. She will live forever in our hearts.
