Melesia Segura passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday March 8, 2021. Melesia was born April 18, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas to Leonor Hernandez and Ascencion Martinez. She is preceded in death by her brother Ascencion Martinez and sister Juanita Martinez.
She is survived by her son Victor Antony Sarabia, daughters Mary Helen Sarabia, Norma Cortez, Delia Sarabia, Sylvia Sarabia, Lydia Sarabia, Julie Ann Sarabia; 27 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren in addition to three sisters, Gloria Reyes, Josephine Martinez and Diana Skains.
Melesia is survived by her husband of 29 years Juan Segura and two stepdaughters, Annabelle Ransom and Sylvia Sandoval.
Melesia loved to travel and would travel from east coast to west coast, Las Vegas and numerous other places but loved traveling home to San Antonio, Texas to visit her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and all her grandchildren. She loved all holidays and enjoyed decorating her home for each holiday. All fiesta events, yard and garage sales were her favorite as well as watching Law and Order and The Waltons. Melesia will be remembered as a kind and compassionate woman as she became friends with everyone and everyone was her friend.
Before relocating to Warner Robins, Georgia, Melesia worked for the Northside School district in the cafeteria and when she went to Georgia she also worked for Northside School district assisting students in the cafeteria.
