Melissa Ann Cirilo, a beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, passed away on August 12, 2024, at the age of 55. She was surrounded by her loved ones at home for her birthday on August 10, 2024.Born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 10, 1969, Melissa's life was marked by her nurturing spirit and her passion for cooking. She married Joe C. Lopez Jr. on June 2, 2014, and together they celebrated their 10 year anniversary this past June.
Melissa was renowned for her exceptional baking and cooking, particularly her famous enchilada sauce. Her culinary talents brought comfort and delight to the residents at the retirement home where she worked, as well as to her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Joe G. Lopez Jr.; her children, Savannah A. Hernandez, John A. Romero, and Melissa A. Romero; her stepchildren, Love A. Salais, Israel Salais, and Joe Lopez III; and her many beloved grandchildren. Melissa is preceded in death by her father, Salvador T. Cirilo Sr.; her sister, Rosa B. Cirilo; her granddaughter, Precious A. Hernandez-Cantu; and her nephew, Robert C. Hernandez Jr.
