Melissa Ann Vargas, aged 38, passed away on October 20, 2024, in San Antonio. Born on October 12, 1986, Melissa was known for her loyalty as a friend and loved one who was always ready to share her time and spirit.

Melissa is survived by a loving family: her uncle and godfather Jesse James Sanchez, mother Jessica M. Sanchez, father David Vargas, sister Jennifer M. Sanchez, and brother Ruben Sanchez Jr., niece Kaytlynn Sanchez, nephews Christian Sanchez, Ruben Sanchez III, and Raiden sanchez along with numerous cousins from both sides of her family.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mary Helen Sanchez, stepfather Ruben M. Sanchez, and brother David Francisco Vargas. Throughout her life, Melissa cherished long road trips, relishing the peace and beauty of lakeside retreats, and valued time spent with family and friends.

A service to honor Melissa's life will be held at Castillo Funeral Home, 520 N General McMullen Dr, San Antonio, TX 78228, on October 26, 2024, from 2pm to 5pm.
