Mercedes Espitia Sandoval was called to be with the Lord savior on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the blessed age of 86. She was born on October 28, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas to the late David Espitia and Candelaria Gonzales. Mercedes is reunited in Heaven with her parents, her spouse Rodolfo (Rudy) Sandoval, and her daughters Herlinda Guerrero and Irene Valdez Lemos. Mercedes leaves her legacy in the loving memories of her to son Ricardo Valdez; 8 grandchildren Rosa Rodriguez, Norma Valdez, Crusefita Castillo, Richardo Valdez Jr, Pedro Guerrero Jr, David Valdez Lemos, Veronica Guerrero and Alejandro Valdez and 15 great grandchildren  and also 11 great great grandchildren.  Mercedes also know as (Mercy), we will forever keep the sound of your laughter in our hearts. When we look back on our memories we will remember your silly faces, your love of music and most importantly your stead fast faith in God . Although it will take some time to get use to not seeing her lovely smiles, we find comfort knowing now she is resting in heaven peacefully and joined with her daughter's.  She will be truly missed and no one could ever replace her. She will forever be in our hearts.  Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 3:30pm until 7:30pm with The Holy Rosary to be recited at 6pm. Family and friends will gather at the Funeral Service at 10:00am at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Friday, June 11, 2021, to depart to follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery for Burial.
