It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael H. Diaz, who left us
unexpectedly on June 26, 2024, at the age of 31. Mikey, born on September 4, 1992, in San Antonio, Texas. Mike was known for his kind considerate soul, his unique perspective in technology, and his cool adventurous spirit. He
loved working on cars with his dad and brothers. He loved mechanics and technology so
much that he would take things apart and make something else out of it. Mikey had such a
loving spirit to where he earned his certification as a CNA. His final job was at Lone Star
Overnight Shipping where he worked with his closest friends and girlfriend.
Michael spent much of his life discovering new experiences and making meaningful
friendships. His free-spirited nature and genuine curiosity inspired everyone fortunate
enough to have crossed paths with him. Mikey was not only a loyal friend, but was always
ready with a listening ear and sage advice. His chill vibe for life and contagious smile made
him a cherished presence in the lives of many, leaving lasting memories of laughter and joy.
Michael is now reunited in heaven with his mother, Helen Diaz and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his loving family, his Father, Daniel Diaz Jr, his brothers Richard Hernandez, Alex Hernandez {Angie}, Philip Hernandez{Veronica} and Daniel Diaz III. He also leaves behind a god daughter named Rima,
many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, his girlfriend Maria Ruiz and of course many of his beautiful aunts and uncles. We will all remember him fondly for his kindness, generosity, and his ability to light up any room with his presence. Visitation for Michael will be held Wednesday July 10,2024 at Castillo Funeral Home from 4pm-8pm. Rosary will take place at 6pm. July 11,2024 family will depart to the Funeral mass that will take place at 9am at St.John Berchman Catholic Church. Final resting spot will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Michael (Mikey) H. Diaz will dearly be missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a cloud of memories, some more hazy than others, and a stash of stories that will be passed down through generations of friends and his brothers who were lucky enough to share in his adventures.
