Michael Gregory Hubertus passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at the age of 52. He was born February 10, 1971 in San Antonio, Tx to Anthony and Virginia Hubertus. He is loved and will be deeply missed by his wife of 26 years Amber Dawn Hubertus; his parents mentioned above; his sister Maureen Meister and her husband Scott Meister; extended family members as well as friends and co-workers who were also family to him. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation in New Braunfels and he truly enjoyed being employed there.
Mike had a strong faith and hope in the Bible's promises such as Revelation 21:4-"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
He had quiet strength and a wonderful sense of humor with a contagious chuckle. He was loyal and stoic. He was a great listener and always willing to help someone. He could fix just about anything and was very artistic. He loved George Strait, football especially if the Cowboys played, his cowboy boots and hat and his Dodge pickup. His absence will be felt keenly and he will be missed so very much.
