In Loving Memory of Michael Martinez
November 30, 1981 – January 25, 2026
Michael Martinez, age 44, passed away on January 25, 2026. Born on November 30, 1981, Michael
lived a life full of personality, passion, and deep love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Samuel Flores, grandmother Gloria Flores, grandfather
Antonio Martinez, his mother Diana Flores Martinez, and his brothers Jack Curtis Trinidad Jr. and
Raymond Jeffrey Trinidad.
Michael is survived by his loving grandmother Julia Zuniga; his father, Johnny Martinez Sr.; and his
beloved son, Anakin G. Martinez, who was the absolute center of his world. He is also survived by his
dear friend and partner and mother of his son, Roxanne Szettella, his brothers Johnny Martinez Jr.,
Isaac Trinidad, and Joe John Martinez; his sisters Eliza Soriano and Tiffany Trinidad; his nieces Macyn
Martinez, Aubrey Soriano, Mia Soriano, MaryAnn Martinez, Melanie Martinez and nephew Blake
Martinez; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Michael was a fun-loving free spirit who brought energy and laughter wherever he went. He had a
passion for all things horror and oddities, embracing the unique and unusual in a way that perfectly
matched his one-of-a-kind personality. Though he had a rugged exterior, those who truly knew him
understood how kind-hearted, loyal, and genuine he was. He was the kind of friend who showed up,
stood by you, and never wavered.
He was a proud and loving uncle, always bringing joy and playful spirit into the lives of his nieces and
nephew. But nothing changed Michael more profoundly than becoming a father. From the moment he
learned he was going to have a son, his life took on a new purpose. His mission became clear: to
protect, provide for, and love Anakin with everything he had. Those closest to him witnessed the
beautiful shift in his attitude and demeanor — fatherhood softened him, focused him, and brought out
an even deeper kind of love and strength.
Michael worked many jobs throughout his life, always willing to put in the effort to support himself and
his family. Most recently, he worked as a rigger for event setups and spent the last several years as a
professional truck driver — a job he truly loved, enjoying the open road and the sense of independence
it gave him.
Michael's presence was big, his love was real, and his memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and
fierce love he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A memorial service to celebrate Michael's life will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 4:00 PM at
