In Loving Memory of Miguel Gonzalez Jr., who entered into eternal rest on October 11 at 5:57 AM. He was born on September 27, 1975, in San Antonio, Texas, to Miguel Gonzalez and Maria Del Carmen Ortega. Miguel dedicated his life to helping others and lived as a deeply honest man.
He brought immense joy to everyone around him and was an amazing cook who made his son and family some of the best meals. He deeply cherished his son, dedicated to bringing him happiness, making him smile, and spending all of their days together. He also loved spending time with his beloved grandsons, Miguel and Josiah.
He enjoyed watching movies and TV shows, especially Law & Order, westerns, and gladiator epics. He was a huge fan of watching novelas at all hours of the day. Miguel had a passion for classic cars, big screens, Boxing, UFC, wrestling, and football. He especially loved watching and sharing all of these moments with his son. His favorite possession was his 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback, which he proudly drove every day after being gifted it for his 50th birthday.
An avid music lover, Miguel enjoyed listening to Spanish music, country, hip-hop, rock, and occasionally jazz. He was a man of many talents, skilled in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanic work, and more. He dreamed big and always aspired to be the best, taking immense pride in his work and ensuring it was done the right way the first time. For years, he dedicated his expertise to Geotechnical Engineering as a Lab Manager for Frost Geosciences, and most recently served as an Inspector for TxDOT.
Miguel was the most honest, loving, and loyal man. He was never afraid to extend a helping hand or give whatever he had to help those in need.
He was preceded in death by his father, Miguel Gonzalez. Miguel is survived by his amazing mother, Maria Del Carmen Gonzalez; his son, Miguel Angel Gonzalez Jr. and his wife, Sabrina Elia Gonzalez; and his only grandchildren whom he loved deeply beyond measure, Miguel Joe Angel Gonzalez and Josiah Maximus Gonzalez. He is also survived by his four sisters, Yesenia Gonzalez, Maribel Gonzalez, Irma Gonzalez, and Carmen Gonzalez.
His family absolutely loved him for his generous heart and the love he spread to everyone around him. He was incredibly funny and always a joy to be around. He will forever be deeply missed, remembered, and loved. His only child, Miguel Angel, misses him beyond measure and will do everything to continue making him proud.
Miguel now enters into heaven to be with his father and grandfather, whom he has missed very much. He is finally at rest and in peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
