Miguel Angel
Reyna
December 7, 1972 – December 18, 2025
Miguel Angel Reyna passed away on December 18, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He had recently celebrated his 53rd birthday on December 7.
Miguel attended Oliver Wendell Holmes High School and went on to spend most of his life devoted to his greatest passion, music. A gifted musician, he was a mariachi singer who played several instruments, including the vihuela, guitar, guitarrón, and trumpet, many of which he taught himself. Music was not only his talent, but his calling. He had a beautiful singing voice and took great joy in sharing his love of music by teaching others.
Miguel was a loving and generous soul with a heart bigger than any circumstance. He was always willing to help others and would gladly give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Gift giving was his love language, and it was one of the many ways he showed how deeply he cared for his family and friends. A natural jokester, Miguel loved making people laugh and bringing joy to those around him.
He enjoyed watching football, proudly cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, and was also a devoted fan of the San Antonio Spurs. Miguel loved to barbecue and entertain, always happiest when surrounded by family, friends, music, and laughter.
Miguel was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Brígida Reyna, affectionately known as "Grandma Lola."
He is survived by his loving daughter, Angelica Reyna; his cherished grandson, Christopher Dean Torres Jr.; his parents, Antonio Reyna and Florinda Reyna; his sisters, Amelia Zarate, Mariela Ramos, and Vivian Perez; along with his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Miguel Angel Reyna was deeply loved and will be forever missed. His music, laughter, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
