Miguel Gonzales Ruiz, age 78, of San Antonio, Texas, entered eternal rest on June 27, 2025. Born on September 23, 1946, Miguel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose Catholic faith guided his life of love, service, and family.

A man of strong faith and warm hospitality, Miguel found great joy in family gatherings, fishing trips, and preparing meals that brought everyone to the table. His heart was generous, his hands hardworking, and his presence a blessing to all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Louise Ruiz; children, Miguel Ruiz Jr., Mary Lou Ramos, Elizabeth Martinez (Mark), and John Ruiz (Tina); 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Maria Trevino (Frank), Hilario Ruiz (Grace), Carmen Estrada, Elena Ruiz, Ramon Ruiz, Rudy Ruiz (Alice); sister-in-laws, Juanita Ruiz and Benita Ruiz, as well as many neices and nephews. He was welcomed into eternal life by his parents, Ramon and Juanita Ruiz, and 7 siblings.

Visitation will be held 4–8 p.m., with Rosary recited at 6p.m., July 10, 2025, at Castillo Funeral Home, 520 N General McMullen Dr. A graveside service will follow on Friday, July 11, 2025, 10a.m., at San Fernando Cemetery II.

Miguel's life was a reflection of his faith—rooted in love, filled with grace, and devoted to those he cherished most. He will be remembered with deep affection and missed beyond measure.
