Narciza "Nancy"
Zepeda
October 29, 1942 – January 31, 2022
Narciza "Nancy" Zepeda went to be with our lord on January 31, 2022, at the age of 79.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernabe and Felicitas Zepeda; her oldest son, Phillip Z. Lopez III; and her siblings, Eloisa Acosta, Consuelo Castillo, Felicitas Zepeda Perea, Gregorio Zepeda, and Mary Zepeda.
Narciza is survived by her beloved children, Laura Viera (Steve), Daniel Lopez (Rosa), and Bridget Hernandez (Mateo); her grandchildren, Philip Lopez, Michael Lopez, Jacob Viera, Daniel Lopez, Aaron Lopez, Samuel Lopez, Thomas Lopez, James Velez, and George Velez II; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Bernabe R. Zepeda, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Narciza was born on October 29, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas to the late Bernabe and Felicitas Zepeda. She accomplished so many incredible things in life, but she especially loved her family and the memories made together with them. Narciza was really the ultimate mother full of support, encouragement, and guidance. Narciza never missed a chance to support her children growing up. She could always be counted on to be at all the football games and music concerts her children, grandchildren, and then great great-children were a part of. She celebrated every single accomplishment her family achieved from school functions to graduations. In addition to being an incredible matriarch, she managed to complete her degree in nursing where she then served her community for 35 years. Narciza was a sports fan, especially football where she loved to watch and cheer on the Dallas Cowboys. She also enjoyed watching YouTube cooking videos from other countries. Narciza was so full of life during the time she was with us; her oldies music will always remind us of those special times with her. Her capacity for generosity knew no bounds as she was someone who would help anyone in need. She inspired those around her to be a better person. She was devoted to her faith and family and brought immense joy to those around her. We loved her caring ways, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Words cannot express the feeling in our hearts. Thank you for your prayers and support during this difficult time. Your shared memories, comforting condolences and gestures of love are truly appreciated.
