Nelson C.
Garcia
September 27, 1965 – November 24, 2020
Nelson C. Garcia, age 55, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2020 surrounded by the love of his wife and children. He was born on September 27, 1965 in San Antonio, Texas where he resided much of his life.
Nelson was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an extraordinary Pon-Pon. Nelson always had a big heart and loved unconditionally. He befriended anyone he met and shared his love through friendship to many. He encouraged friends and family to treasure the moments in life and love. He devoted his time to make many memories and fill them with laughter with his family and grandchildren. Pon-Pon was a name given to him by his grand-babies that he proudly carried. He was not afraid to show his love nor his silliness to his family. He was proud of all his children and grandchildren's achievements and milestones. He made sure others knew of his family's accomplishments.
Nelson was full of creativity and wildly funny. His pretend Vietnam war stories always brought laughter to all. He was not a war hero, but he was our hero. He was an amazing cook and took pride in his recipes. He enjoyed rocking to all types of genres of music such as AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, SPM and many more. A priority to him was not only to be a present father, but to care for his whip(vehicle). He boasted about his vehicle and the sharp cleanliness from the hood down to the tires. His daily calls and videos of him "in his office" will be greatly missed.
As he was proud of his family, we are proud of his accomplishments such as being part of a team to complete the I-10 placed in El Paso, Texas where he diligently worked hard to complete. He was nominated employee of the 2020 year. His days as a heavy machine operator will not be taken for granted, for his imprint is left where he worked hard to complete their projects.
Most precious to Nelson was the faith he had in God and the time granted to him on Earth. He was always willing to try something new and ready for a good time. He gave 110% to anything he did. When he had nothing, he gave everything.
Although his family would love to have had more time, we are forever grateful for the moments we shared with him. His grandchildren will miss their Pon-Pon, but as he said he will be in their hearts forever. We are filled with joy knowing he has been reunited with his mom who he cherished and missed dearly.
Nelson is preceded in death by his mother Elisa C. Garcia and father Narciso Garcia.
Nelson is loved and will be missed by his with Graciela; his daughters Vanessa, Priscilla, Joanna, Stephanie; his son Jesse James; his brothers Jaime Garcia, Rene Garcia and his sisters Belinda Garcia and Eva Gold, 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
I love you Mi Viejo!
We Love you Pops, Forever and a Day. May perpetual light forever shine upon you.
