Ninfa
Ferrera
March 1, 1930 – March 7, 2024
Our dearest mother Ninfa Ferrera peacefully passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 94. She was a wonderful, vibrant, God-loving woman. She had many friends and was well-loved by everyone she encountered.
Ninfa was predeceased by her mother Lucinda Lopez, husband Carlos Ferrera, brother- Juan Gill Gomez, sister Hilaria Tellez, son- Frank Ricarte, Son-David Estrada, Granddaughter-Gina Jones Gonzalez, and Grandson- Christopher Lee Estrada. She is survived by her sister Lupe Lopez Clark, children Sylvia Gonzalez, Joann Arroyo, Nancy Garcia (Raymond), Dolores Fernandez (William), Pete Jimenez (Rachel), Micheal Estrada (Jeannette), Doris Ferrera (Rudy), Mark Estrada (Berenice), Monica Medina (Eloy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and 120 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Ninfa had something a lot of people want but never have: a deep relationship with God. Even amidst her final months on earth, which were often filled with pain and suffering, she never complained and trusted that Our Lord would use her suffering, that He had a plan—a plan the human intellect cannot comprehend. It was amazing to witness how God used her to speak to all of us in those moments, as she shared advice and provided consolation.
Let us continue to pray for the repose of Ninfa's soul with hearts full of love and gratitude. Thank you, Granny, for your wit and humor. Thank you for giving each and every one of us so many memories and stories we can pass down to our children and grandchildren. You will be missed, but we trust that Christ's promise of salvation will see you through unto the gates of Heaven.
May you rest in peace. Amen.
