In Loving Memory of Noemi M. Gonzales
Noemi M. Gonzales, age 58, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on May 22, 2026.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Noemi was a lifelong resident of the city she loved. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1986, where she participated in a Nurse Career Summer Enrichment Program. She continued her education at the Management Education Center of San Antonio, earning an Associate Degree in Computer Science in May 1987.
Throughout her life, Noemi remained deeply devoted to her Christian faith. From childhood through adulthood, she dedicated much of her time to church activities and Bible studies. Her faith served as the foundation of her life and guided the compassion, kindness, and generosity she shared with others.
Noemi worked in administrative and data management roles and was respected for her dedication, integrity, and willingness to help those around her. Though she never married and had no children of her own, she lovingly embraced her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. She was a cherished motherly figure whose love, encouragement, and guidance touched countless lives.
Those who knew Noemi remember her as reverent, generous, and thoughtful. She possessed a heart of gold and was admired for her honesty, sincerity, and unwavering concern for others. Whether offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or words of encouragement, Noemi consistently placed the needs of others before her own. Her cheerful spirit, warm smile, infectious laugh, and positive outlook brought comfort and joy to family and friends alike.
Noemi enjoyed gardening, caring for her beloved dog Daisy, and spending quality time with friends and family. Her greatest passion remained her Christian faith, which inspired her to live a life of kindness, empathy, and attentiveness. She had a unique ability to keep those around her grounded while offering thoughtful guidance and positive insight.
She was preceded in death by her father, Juan R. Gonzales; her sister, Janie Gonzales; and her brothers, Juan Gonzales and Anthony Gonzales.
She is survived by her mother, Filomena Saavedra; her father, Alvaro Saavedra; her siblings, Ernest Gonzales, Lupe Gonzales, Gilbert Gonzales, Margie Gonzales, and Ralph Saavedra; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
One of Margie Gonzales’s favorite memories of her sister was attending a Dan Fogelberg concert together at the Majestic Theatre while they were in their twenties—a memory that reflects the special bond they shared and will be treasured forever.
Noemi’s life was a testament to faith, love, and service to others. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Burial services will be held on June 5, 2026, at Castillo Funeral Home. Flowers may be delivered on the day of visitation.
Though she is no longer with us, her faith, kindness, and love will remain a lasting legacy for generations to come.
