Odelia was the beginning of five generations. She is absolutely the diamond of our family.
Odelia was present in almost every delivery supporting us during labor. Odelia lived life to the fullest. She may have had restrictions, but never any that kept her from loving everyone.
Odelia had a best friend, Esther Guerrero, whom she could trust and know that their prayers availed much.
Odelia loved to sew. She dressed her daughters with beautiful dresses and continued with all the rest of the girls. Every newborn received a crochet blanket made by their Nana. As the grandkids got older, she made them a quilt. As if it were not enough, she would make baby blankets year round. At Christmas time, Dad's job was to deliver these blankets to Any Baby Can. She made beautiful embroidered pieces for our homes. She brought us together with her excellent cooking and baking. She was a woman of God, we knew we could depend on her prayers. She came to a point, where she could not attend church anymore but she was the church. Odelia attended the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower. She served with a beautiful servants heart. She and her sister loved to spend time together, selling donated items during the church festival.
Odelia was everything a family could want. I thank our Heavenly Father for the privilege of allowing us to be filled with an exceptional woman.
Odelia loved sports and was a baseball mom for the Braves and Cardinals.
Odelia served as a grandparent at the PCI Parent Child Incorporation alongside with her husband. She lived her Crusillo "De Colores". She short lived the Guadalupanas at Christ the King church.
We will forever be grateful to all the support we received from our church families. We will forever share her legacy. She will be kept alive by the memories she has left. As a child of God, I ask we turn to God's word to comfort our sorrows. Proverbs 31:31 reads Honor her for all that her hands have done. Isaiah 66:13 reads as a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.
