It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Olga Mercado, age 72, of San Antonio, Texas, who entered eternal rest on August 15, 2026.

Olga was born on February 7, 1954 and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and aunt.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved son, Jr; her mother, Vita; her grandmother, Sixta; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Olga enjoyed making party trays for special occasions, loved to garden, listen to music, read, shop, and loved her favorite tv and game shows.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter, Christine; her granddaughter, Eden; her brother, Kike; her children's father, Jerry; along with many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Rest peacefully, Olga.

Visitation will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, a funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower with interment to follow at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery II.
